are you ready for some football?

It has begun. Football has officially started and we are loving it! We have an awesome group of kids this year, and I know we will have a season full of fun memories. We like to have a potluck every year to give the freshman parents a chance to meet the other parents, and for the kids to have some fun together. Nothing like some good ol' fashioned camaraderie to start the season. I like to do a little decorating, and this year I found some really cute printables on Pinterest. You can find them here and here. They are perfect for a football get together, which if you are like me they will get used quite a bit in the next couple of months. 

This year, our sweet friends, Sheryl and Lester, hosted it at their house. They have an awesome pool and it was fun to have that for the boys. Sheryl and Lester are from New Orleans. Their family owns a great restaurant in town and they always have great food when we get together. Sheryl made a couple of amazing cakes, one chocolate pudding and one orange. The orange was my favorite and she graciously allowed me to share it with all of you. You can find the recipe here. 

Fun was had by all, especially the mosquitoes. And with the potluck come and gone, we are ready for our first official game.
