What do you study?

It's a question I often get and a question I love to answer. I love to answer it for a few reasons, I LOVE Bible study. And I LOVE to read. And I LOVE to share what I learn with other people. I know, there is a whole lot a lovin' happening right now. I also know what it is like to wonder where to start. So, with out further ado, here is a short list of what I study and who I listen to.

Beth Moore:

I am a huge fan. I love her teaching style, I love her heart for women and I love her humility. I think she is the bees-knees.

Here are a few great resources of hers that I have used and loved:

"So Long Insecurity" is an amazing book. I am doing this book currently with a High School student that I mentor and we are both loving it! I was very surprised at how much I have learned about      myself and the roots of my insecurities. No one should have to live in the misery of insecurity. I highly recommend.

"Breaking Free" is another great place to start. I have read the book and am soon starting the Bible study with a dear friend. Bondage is not our birthright, freedom is. It is God's plan for us and this book will definitely help you get there.

I just finished this Bible study. It walks through 1&2 Thessalonians, touching on the subjects of prayer, sexual purity, end-times, prophecy, the calling God has placed on your life and much more.

This is a fun one. These are devotions on CD's that are 8-10 min long. They have a wide variety of topics and are great for when you are driving on the way home or need a little extra boost of the Word in your day. I love.

You can watch Beth online here. She teaches every Wednesday on Life Today. I started listening to her first and then did her Bible studies. This is great for when you are getting supper ready or getting ready in the morning.

She Reads Truth

My sweet friend, Karissa told me about this website, and I am eternally grateful. This is an amazing website with amazing Bible Studies. They will knock your socks off. I was really blown away at how they got right to the nitty-gritty. This is the Truth at it's realist folks. Is realist a word? When you order the study pack you receive a darling book designed by someone they hand pick. No two studies look alike, so fun! You also receive memorizing cards and an 8x10 printable that you can frame. The book is kind of like a journal that goes along with the study and then each day they post a little something about the verses you read. You don't have to order the book if you don't want to, you can also read the verses and the blog post for FREE and write in your own journal.

Karissa and I did this study together. If you haven't studied Hosea, it can be a bit intimidating because of the content. I strongly suggest this study, it made it easier to understand, digest, and apply.

Dr. Carolyn Leaf

Life. Changing. Dr. Leaf is a cognitive neuroscientist. Her research on changing your thoughts and renewing your mind is astounding. Through science, she teaches that thoughts are actual physical things in our brains and that they can change by the decisions we make. We can literally re-wire our brains.  God is so amazing! These books are wonderful, our church has done numerous Bible studies with them and Dr. Leaf has been to our church to speak. Please click on this link to read more about her as I cannot possibly sum up her ministry. It would take days.

If you do nothing else, read this book. It will truly change your life.

I have not yet read this book, but my mom has. She is awesome, and she thinks this study is awesome. Read it.
